Rabone caliper rule

The Rabone name became known in the late 18th century, when Michael went in partnership with, Joseph Hassall. When the partnership was dissolved, at the beginning of the 19th century, William continued on his own with the help of his son, John. He was in turn joined by his son, John Jr. The firm becoming John Rabone & Sons. It lasted until 1963 as an independent family business until it merged with James Chesterman and Co of Sheffield.
